Foley Public Schools is taking applications for a sixth grade teaching position beginning with the 2018-2019 school year. Successful candidates will: Must have a valid MN teaching license. Ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of core areas such as Language Arts, Math, Science and early literacy. Ideal candidate must be able to produce, analyze and respond to relevant data about student learning. Ideal candidates should also have experience with multiple instructional practices and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners. Ideal candidate should have strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment. Ideal candidate should have the ability to build positive working relationships with students, parents and staff. Ideal candidate must have the ability to calmly and effectively deal with a variety of circumstances.

Extra-curricular coaching and advisor positions are available, but not a requirement for this position. Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the Master Agreement between Foley Public Schools and Foley United Educators. Title 1 Academic Interventionist Teacher

Foley Public Schools is taking applications for a .75 FTE Academic Intervention Teaching position for the fall of 2017-18 school year. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide intervention instruction to students who are not meeting grade level expectations. Responsibilities include creating a positive and supportive classroom climate while engaging in a variety of instructional techniques Work as a team member in writing academic intervention plans Have experience with differentiated instruction, balanced literacy and guided reading Serve as a member of the Problem Solving Team in planning, developing and implementing academic intervention programs including strategies Assess student’s area of need and determine appropriate intervention tools Develop and maintain benchmark and progress monitoring data on K-3 students Provide academic support for English Language Learners in the district Other duties as determined Qualifications: MN license elementary teaching license preference given to candidates with additional reading coursework and/or licensure.
