SourceCode Information Technology Academy has developed a career pathway with courses defined each semester of a student’s Junior and Senior year.  In partnership with South Central College, courses are eligible for college credit.  Teacher should be eligible to teach dual/concurrent enrollment courses.

Foundation courses are exploratory, and to be taught in a blended format with content hosted online.  Instruction will facilitate an online community of practice and integrated work-based experiences.  Support will be provided.  Goal is to prepare the learner for a career as a computer programmer, programmer/analyst, database programmer, database administrator, technical writer, technical support specialist, help desk specialist, web designer, web developer, webmaster, software or software tester.  The instructor will provide the learner with a solid background in the basic concepts of computer programming, web page development, web server application development, management and maintenance of web servers, and electronic commerce concepts.  The learner will be exposed to major programming languages, systems analysis and software design, computer operating systems, and internet services.

·         Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.  Courses will require an experiential component and partnership with business and industry.

·         Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods.  Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.

·         Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.

·         Deliver the written, taught and assessed curriculum.

·         Create a positive environment to ensure successful learning for all students.

·         Partners with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to support students’ academic and social-emotional development.

·         Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.

·         Adhere to all district policies and procedures.

·         Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic issues or special academic interests.

·         Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of states and schools. Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.

·         Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students’ needs and progress.

·         Administer standardized, formative and state mandated assessments and interpret results to determine student strengths and areas of need.

·         Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.

·         Understand and maintain boundaries and confidentiality with students, families and staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:   (Minimum level of education and experience required.)
·         Appropriate Minnesota teaching licensure.

·         Valid Driver’s License.

This job operates in a hybrid office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:  (Minimum essential factors of daily position.)
Hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but occasional events outside typical work hours, travel to the Minnesota Department of Education, and travel within the region are expected.

School Based Occupational Therapist

QUALIFICATIONS

▪       Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

▪       Licensed to practice occupational therapy in the State of Minnesota

POSITION SUMMARY
ISD 361 is seeking a dedicated and student-centered School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our Special Education team for the 2026–2027 school year. This .80 FTE position serves students enhancing students’ functional performance, participation, and independence within the educational environment, primarily through fine motor skill development, sensory processing support, and environmental adaptations. Their key roles include conducting collaborative intervention plans, evaluations, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with staff/families, and implementing classroom modifications.  Provides services under IDEA, functioning as a related service provider in accordance with state and federal law. The OT will work collaboratively across PreK-12th grade educational settings to improve, develop, restore, and maintain each student’s sensory and motor function in support of their educational success.

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
▪       Ability to identify motor and physical impairments and developmental delays

▪       Treatment planning specific to pediatric populations

▪       Innovative interventions for students across a wide range of disabilities

▪       Competent computer skills for documentation and communication

▪       Comprehensive understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and the Whole Child

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
▪       Conduct timely and appropriate evaluations of students referred for early intervention and related services under IDEA

▪       Prepare clear, thorough written evaluation reports

▪       Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise

▪       Collaborate in the development of IFSPs and IEPs

▪       Provide direct, indirect, and consultative occupational therapy services in home, telepractice, and educational settings within the least restrictive environment

▪       Collaborate with school personnel to address students’ occupational therapy needs

▪       Delegate activities to teachers, parents, and paraprofessionals as appropriate

▪       Train and instruct teachers, parents, and paraprofessionals in delegated tasks and equipment use

▪       Travel to and among district schools to provide services

▪       Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided

▪       Lift, transfer, and position students and equipment as required

▪       Understanding of MA Billing and Sped Forms

Band/Choir Director

Minimum Qualifications
•    Valid Minnesota teaching license in Instrumental Music (K–12) and/or Vocal Music (K–12)

•    Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field from an accredited institution

•    Meets all Minnesota Department of Education licensure and background check requirements

Preferred Qualifications
•    Dual licensure in both Instrumental and Vocal Music, strongly preferred

•    Experience directing concert band, jazz band, and/or show or concert choir

•    Demonstrated success in recruiting and building music programs

•    Experience with elementary music instruction and feeder program development

•    Background in musical theatre direction or accompaniment a plus
