Scheduled Hours/Days: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday

Qualifications: All candidates must be licensed to teach Grade 7 Science. Life Science or General 5-8 Science licensures are both acceptable. Experience teaching middle school students is preferred, but not required.

Pay Rate/Range: 2026-2027 NEA Agreement BA-$57,681 – MA40-$95,320. Base pay DOQ.

Speech and Language Pathologist

The School District of Onalaska is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE Speech/Language Pathologist beginning with the 2026-27 school year. This specific assignment for the year is split between one elementary school and middle school.

Job Goal: Evaluate, diagnose, and implement Speech/Language services for a wide range of students with disabilities of various ages.

Essential Functions

Evaluate, diagnose, and implement Speech/Language services for a wide range of students with disabilities of various ages.
Maintain knowledge of current state and federal laws, regulations and codes applicable to speech and language and special education.
Determine and use professionally sound procedures for identification, diagnosis, referral, and reevaluation.
Assure adherence to state eligibility criteria.
Complete all necessary procedural compliance paperwork related to the identification and services for students with special education needs in the area of speech/language impairment.
Serve as a member of the IEP Team identifying goals in the area of speech and language for students who qualify for services.
Develop, write and implement comprehensive Individual Education Plans (IEP) for special education students.
Conduct speech/language evaluations and re-evaluations in accordance with legal requirements.
Provide speech and/or language therapy to students as stipulated by their Individual Education Plan.
Utilize planning time to perform additional professional responsibilities including parent conferences, IEP team meetings, classroom observation of students, and consultations with classroom teachers and other professional support personnel.
Serve as case manager for students whose primary related Special Education service is speech and language.
Maintain current Certificates of Clinical Competence (CCCs) through the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
Complete monthly Medicaid billing for school based services for qualified students.
Maintain student progress notes in student records.
Communicates with parents on a regular basis to discuss student progress.
Re-evaluate students’ individual speech and language needs on a regular basis.
Collaborate with school staff to coordinate services to students.
Participate in professional development and in-service training programs; develop and maintain current resource information.
Participate in district speech screening activities.
Collaborate with other district speech language pathologists on a regular basis as a Professional Learning Community.
Participate in district Child Find activities when appropriate.
Serve as a resource for staff on issues related to speech and language therapy.
Communicate and refer to outside agencies, hospitals, or clinics when appropriate.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Special Education Teacher, Intellectual Disabilities

Meyer Middle School is seeking a dynamic Special Education Teacher with a passion for inspiring and encouraging ALL students to reach their potential through hard work and character. Candidates must be able to create a positive and safe learning environment by first having the skills to build meaningful connections with students and also by providing individualized or small group specialized academic instruction.
