Job Responsibilities

  1. Serve as a member of the District’s administrative team and actively participate in the development, implementation, and achievement of the District’s goals.

  3. Provide leadership and oversight for the implementation of approved curriculum, assessments, and instruction programs, including immersion, at the building level.
  4. Lead in the recruitment, selection, staff development, and evaluation of staff members at the building level.

  5. Ensure effective implementation of after-school activities, enrichment and co-curricular activities in conjunction with other District staff.
  6. Communicate with parents, community members, and parent organizations concerning school programs and activities.
  7. Develop the school budget and approve the requisitions for supplies, equipment and materials necessary for the operation of the school.
  8. Oversee the development of and implementation of the student discipline and student recognition programs within the school.
  9. Implement state and federal regulations and School Board policies related to the health and safety of all students and employees.

Director of Student Support Services for Transition and High School

The terms and conditions of this position are covered by an individual contract.
Salary and benefits are regionally competitive. Salary is commensurate with the incumbents experience and qualifications.  Minimum salary is $125,000.

Summary/Primary Objective of Position
Provide supervision over programs in student support services throughout the District.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide coordination and supervision of programs in special education, social work, psychological services, and related services.
  2. Evaluate the effectiveness of current services, modify present services, and develop new services in areas of responsibility, as deemed appropriate by the Executive Director of Student Support Services.
  3. Assist in the collection of information regarding the learning outcomes of students and in the interpretation of effective data regarding students, ensuring alignment with the district-wide MTSS framework.
  4. Supervise and monitor the implementation of statewide eligibility criteria for special education.
  5. Facilitate and support District Special Education data examination in alignment with curriculum review, UbD and implementation of Standards-Based IEPs.
  6. Develop and complete mutual commitments tied directly to the District’s Strategic Plan.
  7. Serve as an active participant in the selection and recommendation process for new teachers within special education, including the evaluation process for non-continuing contract staff as well as summative year continuing contract staff.
  8. Serve as a member of the District’s administrative team.
  9. Provide direct supervision of District Strategists.
  10. Provide necessary information to the Executive Director of Student Support Services for the completion of state reports, and prepare those reports in areas of responsibility as delegated by the Executive Director.

Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

•  Work with a variety of students within any disability area
•  Must have good written and verbal communication skills
•  Must be able to create thorough lesson plans and implement them effectively
•  Must be able to do assessments for purposes of determining special education eligibility
•  Must have good data collection expertise and the ability to monitor student progress
•  Must be a good collaborator and team player
•  Must be able to work with and supervise paraprofessionals

Assistant Girls Basketball Coach

Qualifications: Candidate will have played, competed in, or coached the sport or activity at the high school or college level. Head Coaches must have or be able to obtain a Head Coaching License or appropriate certification.

Responsibilities:

Accountable to: Head Coach, Activities Director and Principal.

Primary Objective: To assist the head coach in selection, instruction, training, and conditioning of all athletes/teams assigned to him/her by the head coach. Northfield Schools, the Principal and Athletics/Activities Director places an expectation not only on the skills, abilities and commitments of its coaches, but also on their integrity and collective common sense in performing their duties.

To adhere to the starting and ending dates for your sport.
